beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro - AWESOME for music!
okay build • great comfort • amazing sound • poor accessories

Build quality is nothing special - plastics feel a bit cheap, but they have metal arms, cloth earpads (that collect a lot of lint), and a pleather headband. Both the earpads and headband are replaceable, but not the cable (also, cable is 10 ft—yeah, it’s long). That being said, people often have them last at least 8 years, and I haven’t seen any noticeable wear on my own set after 7 months.
Comfort is amazing. Earpads are firm, but headband is squishy. I have trouble wearing headphones for long periods of time, but I can wear these forever (they get uncomfortable with glasses though). AirPods Pro are still more comfortable for me personally.
Sound is absolutely amazing. A lot of top-end, but I find them easier and more enjoyable to listen to than my AirPods Pro. Plus, all the top end makes more detail stand out. The APP have a touch more bass to my ears, but the DT 770 have fuller bass, which I think sounds better. Also, the 770s sound so much wider and more open. Everything feels deeper and more separated. The cloth earpads do leak a bit of sound though, and they do not block out external noise that well.
Accessories are pretty useless for most people: a thin nylon bag with no protection and a 1/4” adapter.
the verdict.
Want good music for at-home use at a good price? ✅ Yes → get the 32 ohm version (shorter cable, pleather earcups, can use with any device)
Want headphones you can use anywhere in any circumstance? ❌ No → get some earbuds or wireless headphones instead
To me, these are an additional set of headphones for people who really enjoy music. They don’t replace wireless earbuds—they complement them.
