📒 // SHOW NOTES
Bose has not had significant developments in the audio market, which has allowed competition from Sony to catch up. This led to Bose to try and make a splash in the earbud market, which allowed them to regain some traction. Now, Bose is getting their footing back in the headphone market with the QuietComfort Ultra!
From leaked images, the QC Ultra looks to be taking the best of both QC and 700 with an upscale, classic look along with touch controls and a free-sliding headband. Not much else is known, but we can potentially expect better sound and ANC as well as a higher price tag.
Overall, this seems to show the overall significance of branding. When people think of a brand name, there are certain connotations that go with it. With QuietComfort being such a well-known, highly-regarded name (especially compared to the 700 name of their predecessor), this will likely be something that Bose will stick with for the foreseeable future.
