• Sony has a new set of earbuds coming out soon (possibly this year)

• They are set to have new upgrades to fit, comfort, and possibly build quality

I remember owning the Sony XM4 earbuds back in the day.

I also remember having a love-hate relationship with them.

They sounded amazing and had good noise-cancellation, plus the case was compact while having USB-C and wireless charging.

But they felt really cheap, the buds were bulky and uncomfortable, and they even completely shut down after the second day (they did come back the third day, but that didn’t exactly inspire confidence)!

That being said, Sony looks to be coming out with a brand new set! ⚡️

Not much info is given at the moment, but from what we can tell, the case is getting a bit of a redesign, and the earbuds themselves look a bit smaller. The buds also seem to be glossy instead of matte, so that hopefully means they are using nicer materials this time around (although the case still looks matte).

The “nozzles” where the eartips connect also seem to be slightly angled, so that hopefully improves comfort and fit (two things that I really struggled with on the XM4s).

If these were the only changes made this year (along with the inclusion of silicone tips), then this could be enough to make me a potential customer!
